Traditionally Vilnius International Film Festival (Cinema Spring) comes in March. This year the festival celebrates its 16th birthday that offers a rich program to the Lithuanian audience. Among dozens of premieres, four films with Titas‘ music will be presented in the the section of the Lithuanian films.
Lithuania was occuppied by the Tzar Russia in 19th century. The Russians were executing ruthless assimilation policy against the Lithuanian nation. Part of this activity was to ban Lithuanian literacy and promote Russian language.
Titas was invited to be a jury member at 7th International Festival organized by the American International School of Vilnius that took place on 28th of January.
Titas' new composition will be premiered on December 19, 2010 at the Lithuanian National Filharmony. The piece for classical orchestra was especially composed for the men choir Varpas that celebrates its 55-year anniversary.
The composition will be performed by Vilnius Symphonic Orchestra, Conductor Tadas Sileika.
